The Bus - part II

We are making progress and thought we'd update you on how surgery is going...

Face Lift...

Hip replacement (or as we like to call it, 'bruised love handle' recovery)

Rear End Lift

And some other cosmetic fixes.

All in all, she came through pretty well and Jeff learned how to cut chunks of a car off and how to put new parts in.

Onto step 3...the step that makes grown men cry and neighbors move away...car paint.

The Bus

So we decided to go to 'sweet home Alabama' and pick up a '79 Westfalia Bus...

We ran into a tornado scare in Kansas....

And then 30 hours later we saw her standing there...

Admittedly we were disappointed. The 'ad' and 'photos' that we had seen were very misleading.
There was a lot more rust than was stated. She needed a lot more tlc than was noted.
It was so sad to see this gal rotting away in the south.

Ok, first things first...get rid of the hebrew Jesus fish. Fast...just like a bandaid.

Some things to note:
Her love handles were pretty bruised :)

Her rain gutters were scary...

And her parts were showing, oh my.

She obviously needed saved from this leprosy infected land.

So up on the trailer she went and 32 hours later...she was home. SWEET HOME UTAH.

A special thanks to:

Mark & Jorgene Wilson (for the car trailer & love and support)
The cop that gave us a warning instead of a ticket during the climb of the Colorado Rockies
The Crippen Family (for taking care of our boys during the adventure)
and to
SKY & LAKER (for being so patient all weekend long and enduring the LONG ride home)

Salem Spring Triathlon

Jeff's 3rd triathlon and since our friend 'Bob' is the main nacho that puts it on Jeff decided to sport the lamb chops in his honor...and it didn't hurt that they were massively intimidating to his fellow competitors!

So proud of their fast Dad!

Sky's Accomplishments!

Skyler was awarded the citizenship award, which is voted on by the students, and the highest academic achievement award for his class. Only a few kids from each class received an award and Skyler was 1 of 2 kids to receive TWO awards. He would have also received 100% attendance which was the only other award given...he only missed ONE day of school. We are so proud of you Skyler!

Marathon

Laker and Sky had so much fun at the safety fair and kids marathon.

It was a mad dash of kids when they yelled "go!" Laker and Sky both shot out and finished with awesome times!

Run Sky run!!! He was so intimidating sporting his Swiss Days 10k shirt!

Laker was so happy just to be there...go Laker go!!!

They both received medals for their fantastic runs! You guys are awesome!

Stacey Is Now An Asbury!

Some of my favorite photos from Stacey's wedding. Stacey was so beautiful. Joseph you are one lucky man!!!

Sky and Laker are awesome. Just look at these guys! What year is it again...?

What a stud....holding flower baskets and still manly.

Laker Preschool Graduation

We can't believe Laker has already graduated preschool and is on his way to Kindergarten this fall. He is such a stud with those glasses!
Great job Laker!
